Welcome
Hummingbird Villa is situated on Tobago's southern end, 10 minutes’ drive from Crown Point International Airport and five minutes from the island's most beautiful beaches. The 18-hole Mount Irvine Golf Club is a short distance away.
Hummingbird Villa has a mature landscaped garden with indigenous tropical plants and flowers. Hummingbird Villa nestles in the embrace of the Grafton Caledonia Wildlife Sanctuary. Guests are welcome to take treks into the Sanctuary, or simply relax on the veranda as colourful birds flit and swoop amongst the flowers. As the name suggests, hummingbirds are amongst our most regular visitors and there are over 460 different species of neo-tropical birds.
The villa is located near some of the island's most beautiful beaches. As you may know, the daytime temperature in Tobago remains between about 79 and 83 degrees Fahrenheit. The dry season, when skies are almost always blue, corresponds with the European winter. The rainy season comes during the summer.
About Tobago
Tobago, along with its big sister, Trinidad, are the southernmost islands in the Caribbean chain. Two islands yet one nation, each has its own distinct character – Tobago; tranquil, unhurried and serene, Trinidad; vibrant, boisterous and culturally diverse.
Tobago was the secret paradise known only to the most devoted of Caribbean travellers until about fifteen years ago when it began to open up to the world's market. Development has been rapid but the island still maintains the charm and innocence which, sadly, has disappeared from many of its neighbours.
This is partly because tourism has come relatively recently to Tobago. But it is also due to the deliberate policy of those involved in Tobago's tourism industry, who have worked hard to maintain the ecological and social balance of this small Caribbean island.
In Tobago, you'll find deserted, white beaches fringed with acres of coconut trees, and reefs teeming with tropical fish. You'll find sailing, snorkelling, scuba-diving, jet-skiing and a variety of other water sports. You’ll find exquisite local cuisine served in world-class restaurants. You'll find lively nightclubs and bars. You'll find bustling shops and busy, outdoor markets.
You'll find Tobagonians genuinely delighted that you chose their island to visit and hope you won't wait too long before visiting again.
Hummingbird Villa is designed in the authentic Caribbean style to optimise the weather conditions prevalent in the tropics. A wide veranda runs the length of the house, allowing gentle, cool breezes to blow throughout the house. On a lower level in front of the house is the pool deck (24' x 16').
Louvred doors lead from the veranda into a Great Room, incorporating an open-plan kitchen, and a living space with cable TV, video player and stereo system (CD player, tuner and cassette player).
There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across two wings of the villa. Each of the two master bedrooms has a King sized bed. Each single bedroom has two single beds. There are also two stowaway beds for extra guests. ![]()
